Dari dulu emang doyan dengar music classic, apalagi orchestra. Kebetulan tahun ini di adelaide ada National Music Camp, dikampus lagi. Welcome to National Music Camp 2009!

Each summer, for over 60 years, Australian Youth Orchestra’s National Music Camp has brought together the world’s most inspiring conductors and tutors with the country’s finest emerging musicians, composers, arts administrators and music journalists. Each year, the result is a unique, thriving musical community of over 250 people, where young musicians from every state and territory commit themselves to experience over 80 hours of rehearsals, tutorials, industry experience and the exhilaration of final live broadcast concert performances.

Participating in National Music Camp is a life-changing experience, and one that has transformed many of Australia ’s professional musicians. Each year, many of these alumni return to camp to share their knowledge and experience with today’s young artists to help them discover a new world of musical engagement and connection.

This year’s National Music Camp takes place in Adelaide at the Elder Conservatorium of Music, from Sunday 4 January. Australian clarinettist, Paul Dean, will direct the National Music Camp in 2009. He will be joined by internationally acclaimed conductors, James Judd (ENGLAND), François-Xavier Roth (FRANCE), violinist Fionnuala Hunt (IRELAND) and some of the best music tutors from Australia and abroad.

Over the course of the two weeks, the work of the students will be showcased through the National Music Camp Free Concert Series . We welcome you to join us and be inspired by the music camp experience, and to share in the achievements of these young, emerging artists.
